The guidelines for paper submission are as follows:
Submissions must describe substantial, original, completed and unpublished work. Wherever appropriate, concrete evaluation and analysis should be included. Submissions will be judged on correctness, originality, technical strength, significance, relevance to the conference, and interest to the attendees. Each submission will be reviewed by three program committee members. Accepted papers will be presented in one of the oral sessions or poster sessions as determined by the program committee. Papers must be written in English.
All submissions must be electronic and in Portable Document Format (PDF) only, using paper submission software at: https://www.softconf.com/a/IALP09/.
Authors should ensure that their identities are not revealed in any way in the paper. Papers that do not conform to these requirements will be rejected without review.
Format:
Full paper submissions should follow the IEEE Proceedings' two-column format without exceeding six (6) pages including references. We strongly recommend the use of the LaTeX style files or Microsoft Word style files tailored for this year's conference according to IEEE Proceedings' format. Submissions must conform to the official style guidelines, and they must be electronic in PDF.
As the reviewing will be blind, manuscripts must not include the authors' names and affiliations. Authors should ensure that their identities are not revealed in any way in the paper. Self-references that reveal the author's identity, e.g., "We previously showed (Smith, 1991) ...", must be avoided. Instead, use citations such as "Smith previously showed (Smith, 1991) ...". Papers that do not conform to these requirements will be rejected without review.
8.5" x 11", Two-Column Format (PDF, DOC, LaTeX)

Congratulations on having your paper accepted for publication in the proceedings of the 2009 International Conference on Asian Languages Processing (IALP 2009). Please note the following specifications in your preparation and submission of your final paper as it will be published in the proceedings.
Format:
Your final papers MUST be formatted to IEEE Computer Society Proceedings Manuscript Formatting Guidelines without exceeding six (6) pages, including all figures, tables, and references. It is highly recommended that you proofread and check the layout of your paper BEFORE submitting it to PDF eXpressTM (refer to formatting instructions and style files below).
PDF eXpressTM is IEEE's online file conversion/PDF validation tool, to assist authors in preparing suitable electronic files of their final papers. PDF eXpressTM helps authors convert their papers into IEEE Xplore-compatible PDF files (conversion function) or to check their own PDF files for IEEE Xplore compatibility (PDF validation function).
Note that PDF eXpressTM is not a file submission system and does not capture files. An author's file simply passes through the system returning a PDF file or an error report. After using PDF eXpressTM, you will still need to submit the IEEE Xplore-compatible PDF file of your final paper to the IEEE Conference Publishing Service (CPS). Please also note that PDF eXpressTM services will only be available until September 4, 2009 23:59 hrs (GMT-8).
If you would like to create your own PDF file, please change the setting on your PDF distiller to ensure your paper meets IEEE PDF specifications. Basic PDF distiller settings MUST be changed to:
- Optimized,
- Acrobat 5.0 compatibility,
- ALL graphics at least 300 dpi resolution (higher if preferred),
- ALL fonts MUST be embedded and subset,
- Postscript settings DO NOT override distiller settings,
- Page size is 612.0 x 792.0 points (8.5" x 11").
Important Deadlines:
- Paper submission deadline: September 11, 2009
- Copyright release deadline: September 11, 2009
